Archiving Military History Resources
The Society has undertaken an archive effort to preserve materials removed from federal or state entities since January 2015 that have had a material impact on the conduct of military history, in the arenas of research, publication, dissemination, and teaching.
Members with knowledge of other actions, to include archive deletions, exhibit alterations, publication removal, and so on are encouraged to report them (anonymously if need be) to SMH leadership using this form. If you have updates about prior submissions, they may also be submitted here.
IMPORTANT: In the "Notes" section below, please include as many of these relevant items as possible:
- a full citation
- URL where the resource was housed
- URL where the resources was relocated (If following up to note the resource has been restored)
- information about the resource itself
- any other information which seems relevant.
