Informing from Abroad: The Spanish Military Attachés in the period 1880-1921

Bio Note:

Pedro Panera Martínez is the Secretary of the Spanish Association for Military History and a full-time predoctoral researcher at the General Gutiérrez Mellado College (IUGM) in Madrid, where his PHD studies focuses specifically on the Spanish Military History and Historical International Relations.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History (ULe), a MA in International Relations and Diplomacy (Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and a MA in Peace, Security and Defence (IUGM). He also has been graduated as a Peacekeeping Missions Observer (Spanish Army's War School) and owns a Diploma in National Defence (Centre for National Defence Studies of the Spanish Armed Forces).

In his current investigation, he is analysing the reports of the Spanish military and naval attachés during the period 1898-1921 in order to stablish the possible influence of their duty in the evolution of the Spanish combat doctrines at the beginning of the 20th century
