I have been teaching US Military History since retiring from the Army in 2015 in order to enhance the understanding my students have of the military and the role played by the men and women who have served our nation in uniform in peace and in war. I undertook my PhD studies in 2020 to learn to write a historical narrative, increase my own understanding of history, and prepare myself for future opportunities. I’ve come to SMH seeking fellowship with a group of people with a common love for military history, to learn, and to help enhance understanding.
