Roommate Finder
As a service to its members, the Society is hosting a Roommate Finder message list where interested SMH 2023 attendees can find like-minded colleagues to share accommodations with at the Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA.
All necessary information to get started should be listed in your posting (name, contact email address), including details that may be relevant to finding an appropriate roommate (e.g., gender; whether you have already reserved a room; the number of nights you are seeking accommodations for; how many colleagues you hope to share space with; early bird/night owl, etc.).

By entering and using the Roommate Finder, you agree to the terms of this Disclaimer. The Finder is an interactive site designed to facilitate communication among members of the Society for Military History (SMH) seeking to share lodging for upcoming SMH meetings. The Finder is only open to, and may only be used by, SMH members.
SMH is not acting as an intermediary between users of the Finder and assumes no responsibility for any arrangements made by users who post, or respond to, queries in the Finder. SMH is not responsible for screening roommates, does not get involved in financial arrangements between roommates or between roommates and the hotel, and makes no guarantees of any kind about compatibility or trustworthiness of roommates. Information distributed within the Finder will not be checked for accuracy by SMH and users must use their individual discretion and accept sole responsibility for their use of the Finder. Any postings made to the Finder express the views and opinions of the user and not SMH. SMH, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to remove objectionable posting to the Finder and revoke posting privileges of users who harass other users. SMH cannot guarantee that users will locate a roommate. Users who reserve rooms and occupy rooms at the hotel are financially obligated to pay for those rooms regardless of whether or not a roommate shows up. Please remember that if a user signs up as a roommate, the user creates an obligation to the person with whom the room is shared.
SMH expressly disclaims any responsibility for, and any and all liabilities resulting from, any information or communication posted to the Finder or exchanged between users of the Finder. SMH is not responsible for any liability or financial obligation that may arise from roommate matching made via the Finder. All users of the Finder accept full risk and responsibility for any injury or loss they may incur as result of their participation in the Finder. Users also agree to indemnify and hold SMH and its officers, directors, agents, and volunteers harmless from any and all liability, injury, loss, or expense suffered by a user resulting from user’s participation in the Finder.
