In 1995 the Society published a cumulative index to volumes 1-58 (1937-1994) of The Journal of Military History. The Index was published in hard cover on acid-free paper with the same 6"x9" format as the Journal. It is over 600 pages in length and consists of 5 sections:
Section 1 classifies each article by major subject.
Section 2 contains topical references (names of individuals, battles, maps, subjects, etc.) for all articles.
Section 3 lists all articles chronologically and includes a mini-index for each article. A reader can easily use a page reference found in section 1, section 2, or section 4 to locate a particular article in section 3.
Section 4 consists of article author, book author and reviewer entries.
Section 5 contains a list of books reviewed arranged by title.
While supplies last, you may order a copy from the Journal office. Use the table below to determine the type of order you are placing and the corresponding price of the Index.
