• Graduate Program in the History Department is usually 60-70 MAs and PhDs, of whom about one-third are working in military history or modern issues of defence and security.
• Graduate students in these fields are closely affiliated to UNB's Brigadier Milton F. Gregg VC, Centre for the Study of War and Society, (www.unb.ca/greggcentre) which has a very active program of research, teaching, scholarship and out reach in military history and modern defence issues. The Centre published a scholarly journal on modern conflict, "The Journal for Conflict Studies" (www.lib.unb.ca/TEXTS/JCS/) and a book series as part of the New Brunswick Military Heritage Project (www.unb.ca/nbmhp), as well as occasional monographs and papers.
• The UNB military history program has very close ties with nearby CFB Gagetown, home of the Canadian Army's Combat Training Centre including its infantry, armour and artillery schools.
