Texas Tech University offers graduate assistantships.

Special Library Strengths:
In addition to housing the renowned Texas Tech Vietnam Center and Archive, which includes a strong oral history and manuscript collection on the Cold War era, the university libraries also house the Southwest Collection and Special Collections Libraries, which are strong in U.S. Western, Texas, and U.S. Civil War history. Texas Tech University library is also a member of the Center for Research Libraries initiative.
