Managed Autonomy: The reinvention of US Army public affairs, 1962-1991

Bio Note:

Thomas Crosbie is a PhD candidate at Yale University and a Junior Fellow of the Center for Comparative Sociology. His dissertation is a study of US Army public affairs and war correspondence from the beginning of the Vietnam War to Operation Desert Storm. The project investigates the breakdown of the golden age of civil-military relations and the development and implementation of new doctrine and organizational structures to rebuild the media-military relationship. Tom is originally from Newfoundland and has a BA from Memorial University and an MA from La Trobe University in Literary Studies where his thesis was, "The contingent modernist: The aesthetic historiography of Patrick White's Voss."
